Carly
Carly was pick of the litter from the 2018 Tori x Carlyle litter bred by Michelle and Chris Wiberg (Chrishelle Farms) that produced truly exceptional performance puppies. We recognized Carly’s potential and carefully coordinated both her Show and Hunting training. Carly has maintained her excellent conformation that was apparent even at 6-weeks. She is well balanced, with correct angles, long in the rib, a beautiful feminine headpiece with dark almond eyes and exceptional movement. Her personality is one of confidence, and she is at ease with other dogs and in crowds.
Carly worked through the AKC Star Puppy Obedience Program, and enjoyed working on obedience while preparing for Shows and hunting. At 6 months, Carly began entering shows and she went to Puppy Boot Camp with Jodi Palermo of Jodi’s Kennels. After Boot Camp, Dick and Carly trained through the fall, taking breaks to compete in Shows.
In November 2018, Carly earned her first Show point at 7-months old. Carly finished her Championship before her first birthday, with 4 Majors and 17 points.
By November 2019, Carly’s Grand Championship was complete with 36 points and 8 major wins. By March 2020, Carly had earned 61 Grand Championship points towards her GCH Bronze level. Not bad for a GSP under two!
While COVID was raging in March of 2020, Dick was training for Master Hunter with Carly and they moved directly to Master Hunter competitions in the Fall. Carly started competing in Master Hunter tests in August of 2020 and earned her Master Hunter Title in three weekends, finishing her MH title in September. By the end of the Minnesota Hunt Test season Carly had earned an additional two Master Hunter Advanced Legs and an additional Master leg towards her Lifetime Master Hunter Certificate. Carly and Dick can’t wait to finish her MHA!
Even as a puppy Carly demonstrated strong natural hunting ability and an intensive competitive spirit. She thrives in the field and loves training with Dick and their partners. Carly is a methodical hunter with a passion for locating all birds on every field. She is extremely biddable, working easily with both her hunter and the other hunters who share the field. She has exceptional endurance and her excellent conformation allows her to negotiate any field conditions with ease. She is fully familiar with all Upland birds, including Pheasant, Chukar, Quail, and Grouse. Carly fully demonstrates all of the required abilities of a true Master Hunter and a perfect family companion.
